Sorbitol

Sorbitol is a polyol that is obtained by glucose hydrogenation. What makes it so attractive is the sweet flavour that’s almost exactly like sugar yet with approximately half the calories. It comes in liquid format for better homogenisation. Highly versatile, it can be used in any food or beverage for the diabetic or in dietetic products as a sugar substitute.
